As one of Australia’s leading, private, integrated property and construction groups, St Hilliers has forged an enviable reputation over almost three decades, building the company upon old fashioned values and a commitment to the people who work with them.
This engagement and consistency has seen them awarded numerous Defence contracts around Australia, with the delivery of these projects dependent upon their ability to work collaboratively with local contractors and suppliers to ensure they deliver the highest quality service, on time and on budget.
To this end, partnering with the Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce, St Hilliers will present an Industry Briefing for local trade businesses looking to be involved in Defence contracts in West Australia.
“This Industry Briefing is open to all businesses in the region and will provide essential background information on potential supplier chain opportunities for businesses in the local area,” said Andrew Baxter, Local Industry Manager at St Hilliers.
“We will also hold one on one sessions with guests that cover compliance and the best course of action to take advantage of the opportunities that these contracts present, with the aim of becoming preferred contractors through St Hilliers.
“It is an opportunity not to be missed for local trades. The breadth of skill we are looking to certify is far reaching, with skilled labour required across multiple disciplines such as demolition, concrete supply, electrical, termite protection, security, waterproofing, fencing, tiling, windows, roofing and cladding, as well as indirect services such as labour hire and training groups – to name just a few.
“Collaboration with the communities in which we work has been vital to our success and it is important to us that we increase the number of trainees and indigenous subcontractors on our projects. This initiative is key to that aim moving forward,” he said.
The free session will be held at The Cruising Yacht Club, 2 Val St Rockingham from 4.00pm to 6.00pm on Tuesday 5th September 2018, with light refreshments served. For further details on the session contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
