On Friday, 24 August 2018, St Hilliers and subcontract partners attended a fundraising luncheon to raise awareness and funds for Swich On Inc., an Ipswich-based community awareness organisation targeting men’s health and mental health issues.
“The luncheon raised much needed funds for Swich On’s Turn to Me campaign, which helps provide young men with the skills and strategies for both their own wellbeing and to help mates in need,” said Andrew Baxter, Business Relations Manager at St Hilliers.
“This cause is important to us for two reasons. The stigma around mental health, particularly men’s mental health, is very relevant to the construction industry and we want to ensure we send the message to our staff and others that it is okay to ask for help. It was also great to be able to support the local community in which we are currently working in, something St Hilliers aims to do when undertaking each project.”
The luncheon raised over $10,000 for the Turn to Me campaign. St Hilliers is proud to support Swich On and their mental health and wellbeing programs.
