St Hilliers’ Step-tember Challenge

Last month, the St Hilliers Wellbeing Committee ran a physical challenge, encouraging individuals and teams across Australia to compete for the highest number of steps recorded throughout September.

With health professionals recommending 10,000 steps each day to keep fit, ‘Step-tember’ was a great initiative; highlighting the distance our site teams cover on a daily basis and encouraging our office-based teams to ‘step-up’ and give the projects a run for their money.

Our Step-tember individual champions included Maria Telegina from the Brisbane office, who took 503,388 steps, and Matthew Lockyer Lockyer at Aveo Carindale, who took 668,134 steps throughout September (that’s an average of 22,217 steps every day)! The Puckapunyal team took out the title of the fittest project, amassing a whopping total of 2,548,582 steps for the month!

Overall, St Hilliers achieved a company-wide total of 11,607,663 steps: a fantastic effort from all involved in the challenge and a great reminder to get your steps up!
