The Road(trip) to Success

When managing different projects across numerous sites and offices around the country, maintaining effective communication is essential for successful operations. An internal survey conducted in early 2022 revealed that our teams wanted more face-to-face communication from the senior leadership team.

In an effort to increase managerial engagement and visibility extending out to even our most remote teams, our leaders have introduced several new initiatives to better their relationships with staff across the country. Quarterly ‘Roadtrips’ have since been introduced, which entail a tour across active sites in the country. Checking in ‘in-person’ allows teams to showcase their projects and have an opportunity for quality time with our CEO and other key members of the business.

Embarking on the second ‘Roadtrip’ St Hilliers Senior Leaders, including CEO; Drew Brockhurst and National Operations Manager; Mick Cadzow were joined by Senior People & Culture Coordinator; Claire Snyder, Marketing Manager; Ellie Jacobs and Environmental Management Lead; Vicki Pearce to deliver business updates and catch-up with our talented teams.

With the business world being taken over by zoom, teams, email and phone calls, a little face-to-face contact goes a long way.
