St Hilliers is excited to have attended Battelle’s Twelfth International Chlorinated Conference in Palm Springs.
Over 1,500 environmental professionals gathered from across 27 countries to discuss the latest innovations and thinking in the management of environmental contamination.
Our Environmental Management Lead, Vicki Pearce and Design Manager, Bruno Curry were accompanied by some of the most influential pioneers in science, engineering, consulting and regulation.
Their key takeaways included:
– The impact of environmental contamination continues to be a key concern for practitioners, contractors, regulators, and landowners around the world
– Research, development, and lessons learned continues to drive innovation, including the application of existing and new technologies
– Managing emerging contaminants is one of the biggest challenges for everyone involved – and there aren’t many easy answers
– Construction and Infrastructure contractors around the world are grappling with the lack of regulations in the face of increased expectations from both regulators and the public to ‘better’ manage contamination issues on major projects
Our team remains committed to delivering environmentally sustainable infrastructure for our clients and for the benefit of future generations with a focus on protecting the land, water, air, and ecology in and around the communities we work in. We look forward to continuing to work closely with our cohort in doing so.
Together we can build a better future.
