Early handover of key capability obstacles

St Hilliers is constructing training facilities at Puckapunyal Military Area in preparation for the next generation of Armoured Fighting Vehicles for the Department of Defence. Part of the works involved new driver training area obstacles which needed to be completed without affecting the School of Armour’s training schedule and Army capability.

Making the most of the reduced activity period, St Hilliers only had a few short months to demolish and construct the driver training area obstacles. Through heavy coordination between Jacobs, the Army’s School of Armour and Security and Estate Group stakeholders, St Hilliers was able to hand over key capability obstacles 4 months ahead of schedule and in line with requirements.

Special thanks to all parties involved, in particular Estate Maintenance and Operations Services and representatives from the School of Armour who were more than happy to come and give the obstacles a test.
