The project was part of the NSW Department of Education Secondary Schools Renewal Program (SSRP) initiative where close to 60 high schools across the state received major upgrades. The SSRP introduced new outdoor learning and activity spaces, enhanced landscaping, improved entrances and refurbished administration buildings point of service.
This project involved upgrades and refurbishments to seven regional schools in NSW. The schools included:
- Kandos High School
- Mudgee High School
- Murray High School
- Mulwaree High School
- Figtree High School
- Woonoona High School
- Nowra High School
Each school underwent construction efforts to enhance the character of the original buildings and integrating new building works to create a sense of space.
The works were constructed to improve the physical environment and aesthetics of the schools for their local community and aimed to increase the street / school activity by making facades and entrances more attractive, improve way-finding and increase the visibility of education to the community.
