St Hilliers were engaged by the Department of Defence to complete the Force Level Electronic Warfare, Vehicles and Facilities at Borneo Barracks.
Works comprised the construction of new and upgraded workshops, storage facilities and site infrastructure services.
AUTOMATED ACCESS GATE: upgraded to automated gates with road siding lane, servicing the heavy vehicle route.
PMV STORAGE FACILITIES: construction of new storage buildings including infrastructure services, drainage systems, hardstands, footpaths, fencing and access gates supporting the protected mobility vehicles (PMV). The existing PMV operations was maintained for the duration of the works.
NEW VEHICLE MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP AND NEW VEHICLE LOADING RAMP AND WEIGHBRIDGE: construction of a new 12-vehicle maintenance bay workshop including new storage facilities for 6 general maintenance vehicles, infrastructure services, parking, hardstands, fencing, landscape, standalone loading ramp and weighbridge facility to manage heavy vehicle operations.
EXPANSION AND RENOVATION OF EXISTING WORKSHOP: expansion and renovation of existing workshop building including infrastructure services, drainage, hardstands, footpaths, fencing and access gates.
DEMOLITION AND REMEDIATION: decanting of furniture, fixtures and equipment and demolition of redundant facilities.
