St Hilliers successfully delivered the design and construction of this major residential project within a tight timeframe.
The project comprised 30 residential apartments and 72 serviced apartments, back of house requirements including commercial kitchen, laundry and staff facilities as well as commercial office space.
The tight timeframe for the project required the design brief to be developed as construction of the project commenced. This involved a high degree of coordination between St Hilliers, the client and the operator of the serviced apartments, Accor.
St Hilliers was able to meet the clients budget target by providing value management in the selection of construction materials including fixtures and fittings.
To enable the serviced apartments to be operational sooner than scheduled, St Hilliers streamlined the process for delivery of fixtures and soft furnishings and managed their installation.
The project is located at the intersection of two major roads in the CBD, which are crossed by high voltage power lines and close to existing apartments and businesses.
To ensure construction work was carried out safely and with a minimum of disruption to businesses and residents in the area, an extensive materials handling strategy was developed by the project team.
