Claremont has experienced significant growth with school numbers doubling in the last five years, placing significant pressure on the already well-utilised facilities.
As a highly regarded provider of crucial services to students with intellectual and multiple disabilities in the Ipswich area over the past 20 years, the Queensland Government committed funding towards new state-of-the-art teaching facilities at the Silkstone Campus.
The project included a new three-level building which will house 10 additional classrooms and an administration area. Works also included a new roadway access to an enclosed undercroft area for school vehicles, a car park and set down area, covered walkways between buildings as well as the incorporation of green space and demolition of the redundant administration area.
