Earlier this month, St Hilliers’ team of site supervisors walked the City of Swan youth development team through the early stages of the Ellenbrook Youth Centre Project in Western Australia. Joined by young locals, the team were provided with site plans and a tour of the newly completed concrete slab. With works well and truly underway, the team could begin to visualise the different areas that will be provided to the Ellenbrook Youth as part of a City of Swan initiative, due for completion in 2023.
St Hilliers is committed to completing periodic walkthroughs as part of a community engagement program.
The City of Swan Youth Coordinator, Debbie McCabe, provided excellent feedback from the walkthrough: “the young people really appreciated the opportunity to see how everything is progressing. Giving young people a chance to see the youth centre as it is being built and finding out what they want most means that the end result will be a facility that young people can have ownership and be proud of”.
