A site to see

Yesterday morning, some of our star cadets and pre-construction team members made a guest appearance at our Belmont Private Hospital site in Carindale, Brisbane. Our cadets are currently all on rotation through different roles such as estimating, contracts administration and onsite works.

The site tour, led by our Quality Compliance Manager George Jeffreys, saw the team hike up the mound of dirt which is currently being removed from site to allow for the construction of the new five-storey building and carpark.

Site fencing surrounds the entire site, complying with anti-ligature requirements, which allows the existing hospital to remain fully operational. With works still in the early phases, the team observed the first row of piles and shotcrete to the underground carpark levels. Major excavation works have also commenced which includes cutting into the hill for the lower levels.

St Hilliers values the upskilling of cadets and aims to help them succeed in any way possible. These site visits allow them to understand construction activities and to follow the progress of such an integral project for Belmont Private Hospital and Aurora Healthcare Australia.
